how to store

Keep your morel mushrooms in the fridge, inside the wax paper bag. They'll keep fresh for about 7 days.

Pro Tip → Store mushrooms towards the top of the fridge. Avoid the veggie drawer, it's often too cold for them!

If you don't plan on eating them within the 7-day window, we recommend:

  • Cooking then storing in the freezer.

  • Drying in a dehydrator.

  • Drying in the oven at its lowest setting for 2 hours. Flip them halfway through.

Pro Tip → Dried mushrooms can be rehydrated by soaking in warm water for 20 minutes or by tossing them in a simmering soup!

how to PREP

IMPORTANT: They must be thoroughly washed before using in a recipe! Morels are prone to getting pine needles or grit stuck in their honeycomb textured caps.

  1. Soak them in a bowl of cold salt water for 2-3 minutes.

  2. Gently agitate then drain and rinse before using.

Always cook your morels thoroughly! Morels contain a toxin that is broken down during the cooking process. Never eat raw morel mushrooms!
